Illinois High School Volleyball - Kewanee tips Mercer County

September 18, 2025: Kewanee, IL 61443

In Thursday's league test, the host Kewanee Boilermakers volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Mercer County Golden Eagles.

With the win, Kewanee upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Boilermakers host Mendota (Mendota, IL) to play the Trojans in a Three Rivers outing on Tuesday, September 23. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 3-13. Mendota lost 2-0 in their recent league game against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL)

The Golden Eagles (6-8) will now prepare for their game against Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Mallards go into the non-league game with a 13-0 record. In their last game, Henry-Senachwine nudged Midland (Varna, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
