Portland Christian Eagles (Louisville, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Highlands Latin (Louisville, KY). The Highlanders enter the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record.

Next, the Bears meet the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 24. Spencer County will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record.
