The Mallard Creek Mavericks volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host South Mecklenburg Sabres to 1 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Monday.
The Mavericks now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chambers for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 20. Mallard Creek will meet a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-9.
The Sabres (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas enter the non-league game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Palisades was nudged by Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
