The Garinger Wildcats topped the host West Charlotte Lions volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Monday's non-league test.

The Wildcats now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Butler for a Southwestern 4A test on Tuesday, September 20. Garinger will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-6.

The Lions (2-6) will now prepare for their test against North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings enter the Queen City 3A/4A test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, North Mecklenburg dropped by Independence (Charlotte, NC), 3-1, in a non-league test.
