The Simley Spartans topped the visiting Hastings Raiders volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Monday's league test.
The Spartans now have a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Two Rivers for a Metro East test on Thursday, September 22. Simley will confront a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over John Marshall (Rochester, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 3-6.
The Raiders (0-3) will now prepare for their test against North (North St. Paul, MN). The Polars enter the Metro East test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, North was knocked off by Mounds View (Arden Hills, MN), 3-0, in a non-league test.
