The Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) football knocked off the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 29-13 in Thursday's league outing.

The Hawks now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Great Bridge for a Southeastern outing on Friday, September 27. Hickory will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 64-14 league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Western Branch drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bruins host Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to clash with the Warriors in a Southeastern outing on Friday, October 4. The Warriors come into the outing with a record of 2-1.
