The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) and the host J.F. Webb Warriors (Oxford, NC), witnessed North Lenoir's football squad edge J.F. Webb by a tally of 21-20.

The Hawks (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC). The Stallions enter the East Central 2A outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, Southwest Onslow was nipped by Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC), 32-14, in a league outing.

With the defeat, J.F. Webb drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes outing on Friday, September 27. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 4-1. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability won 26-14 in their recent league game against Vance County (Henderson, NC)
