North Carolina High School Football - Piedmont thwarted by Montgomery Central

Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), 15-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Montgomery Central advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Timberwolves travel to North Davidson (Lexington, NC) to play the Black Knights in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3. The Black Knights go into the battle with a record of 4-1. North Davidson won 35-14 in their recent non-league battle against Watauga (Boone, NC)

The Panthers now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Stanly for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3.
