The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the host West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), witnessed Mount Pleasant's football squad knock off West Stanly by a tally of 16-3.

The Tigers (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, South Stanly was outscored by Wheatmore (Trinity, NC), 44-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Colts confront the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 23. West Stanly will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Comets enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 27-0 non-league win over Western Alamance (Elon, NC).
