The Athens/Greenview/PORTA/Illini Central Warriors (Athens, IL) soccer overwhelmed the host Meridian/Sangamon Valley Hawks (Macon, IL), 4-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Warriors now hold a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Mt. Pulaski for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 23. Athens/Greenview/PORTA/Illini Central will encounter a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 0-6.
