Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL), 3-1 in a league battle.
The Chargers (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL). The Royals enter the non-league battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Hinckley-Big Rock by Oregon (Oregon, IL), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Spartans confront the Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 21. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 8-1 record after their 4-0 league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL).
