Virginia High School Soccer - Carlisle toppled by New Covenant

The New Covenant Gryphons smashed the visiting Carlisle Chiefs soccer team by a tally of 8-1 in Thursday's league game.
Next, the Gryphons face the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 20. New Covenant will attempt to advance on its 10-0 season record. The Conquerors come into the game with a 3-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA).
The Chiefs (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA). The Bishops come into the Blue Ridge Athletic game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Virginia Episcopal School edged Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA), 5-1, in a league game.
