In Thursday's non-league contest, the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) soccer team edged the host Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), by a count of 1-0.
Next, the Sartans battle the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 contest, on Tuesday, September 24. St. Pius X will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Valley (Albuquerque, NM).
The Hilltoppers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Goddard held off New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
