The Big Rapids Cardinals volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Lake City Trojans to 1 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now have a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 21. Big Rapids will play a Vikings team coming off a 3-0 league win over Sexton (Lansing, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Lake City drops to 9-11 on the campaign. The Trojans host Montague (Montague, MI) to play the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 19. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 8-6. Montague won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Orchard View (Muskegon, MI)
