Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) and the visiting Lowell Devils (Lowell, OR), observed Blanchet Catholic's volleyball team top Lowell by a count of 3-1.

The Cavaliers (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sheridan (Sheridan, OR). The Spartans enter the 3A PacWest contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Sheridan was knocked off by Scio (Scio, OR), 3-0, in a league bout.

With the loss, Lowell drops to 8-1 on the campaign. The Devils host Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR) to clash with the TigerScots in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 21. The TigerScots come into the bout with a record of 8-5. Weston-McEwen won 3-1 in their recent league bout against Grant Union (John Day, OR)
