In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cottage Grove Lions volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the South Umpqua Lancers.

The Lions (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pendleton (Pendleton, OR). The Buckaroos come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Pendleton beat Baker (Baker City, OR), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lancers play the Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR) in a 3A Far West challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. South Umpqua will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to La Pine (La Pine, OR).
