The Lapeer Lightning volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Dow Chargers to 0 in the Lightning non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lightning now have a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Croswell-Lexington for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 21. Lapeer will play a Pioneers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Imlay City (Imlay City, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 12-12.

With the loss, Dow drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Chargers host Midland (Midland, MI) to play the Chemics in a Saginaw Valley outing on Tuesday, September 24. The Chemics come into the outing with a record of 9-4. Midland won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Saginaw (Saginaw, MI)
