Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Troy Flying Horses (Troy, NY) and the host La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY), observed Troy's volleyball team hold off La Salle Institute by a count of 3-2.

The Flying Horses (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (East Greenbush, NY). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Columbia got by Averill Park (Averill Park, NY), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Cadets battle the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights (Schenectady, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 20. La Salle Institute will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Golden Knights enter the contest with a 3-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Saratoga Central Catholic (Saratoga Springs, NY).
