Texas High School Football - Winona thwarted by Alto

September 19, 2025: Alto, TX 75925

Alto Yellowjackets (Alto, TX) boosters left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad top the visiting Winona Wildcats (Winona, TX), 28-14 in a non-league test.

The Yellowjackets now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cushing for a 2A-2 Region III District 11 test on Friday, September 26. Alto will play a Bearkats team coming off a 62-44 non-league win over Evadale (Evadale, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 3-1.

The Wildcats (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against New Diana (Diana, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A-2 Region III District 11 challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, New Diana toppled Redwater (Redwater, TX), 20-18, in a non-league test.
