Nebraska High School Football - Central Valley smashes Anselmo-Merna

September 19, 2025: Greeley, NE 68842

The Central Valley Cougars (Greeley, NE) football trounced the visiting Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE), 62-8 in Friday's league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Burwell for a D2 District 6 (8 Man) game on Friday, September 26. Central Valley will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 64-16 league win over Palmer (Palmer, NE). The Longhorns record now stands at 3-1.

The Coyotes (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE). The Renegades enter the D2 District 6 (8 Man) game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Chambers/Wheeler Central was trounced by Twin Loup (Sargent, NE), 33-8, in a league game.
