Pennsylvania High School Football - Avonworth wallops Hopewell

The Avonworth Antelopes football team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Hopewell Vikings to 14 in the Antelopes league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Antelopes face the Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA) in a WPIAL AAA Western Hills challenge, on Friday, September 26. Avonworth will attempt to improve on its 5-0 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 51-19 league win over Beaver (Beaver, PA).

With the defeat, Hopewell drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA) to meet the Quakers in a WPIAL AAA Western Hills test on Friday, September 26. The Quakers come into the test with a record of 3-2. Quaker Valley won 29-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Valley (New Kensington, PA)
