The Mustangs now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clear Lake for a 3A District 2 game on Friday, September 26. Independence will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Lions record now stands at 4-0.

With the defeat, Center Point-Urbana drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Stormin' pointers travel to Wahlert (Dubuque, IA) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a 3A District 3 outing on Friday, September 26. The Golden Eagles come into the outing with a record of 2-2. Wahlert lost 27-20 in their recent non-league game against West Delaware (Manchester, IA)
