The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the South Greene Rebels (Greeneville, TN) and the visiting Chuckey-Doak Black Knights (Afton, TN), saw South Greene's football team triumph over Chuckey-Doak by a final score of 42-0.
With the win, South Greene advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Rebels travel to West Greene (Mosheim, TN) to play the Buffaloes in a 2A Region 1 battle on Friday, September 26. The Buffaloes go into the battle with a record of 0-5. West Greene lost 47-15 in their recent non-league battle against Eagleton College & Career Academy (Maryville, TN)
The Black Knights now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Johnson County for a 3A Region 1 battle on Friday, September 26. Chuckey-Doak will play a Longhorns team coming off a 18-14 league win over Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-3.
