In Friday's non-league game, the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) football team overcame the host Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM), by a tally of 21-8.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a 6A District 1 game, on Friday, October 3. Cibola will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Rams enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 51-28 non-league loss to Eastlake (El Paso, TX).
The Wildcats (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen/Cavegirls enter the 6A District 3 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Carlsbad was toppled by Centennial (Las Cruces, NM), 21-20, in a league game.
