The Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL) football were victorious over the visiting Stranahan Mighty Dragons (Fort Lauderdale, FL), 21-0 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Lightning face the Goleman Gators (Miami, FL) in a 7A District 15 game, on Friday, September 26. Cypress Bay will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Gators enter the game with a 3-1 record after their 35-0 non-league win over Hialeah Gardens (Hialeah Gardens, FL).
The Mighty Dragons (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Somerset Academy (Pembroke Pines, FL). The Panthers enter the 3A District 15 game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Somerset Academy fell by Monsignor Pace (Miami, FL), 28-20, in a non-league game.
