North Carolina High School Football - Elkin overwhelmed by Starmount

September 19, 2025: Boonville, NC 27011

The Starmount Rams walloped the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks football team by a score of 55-0 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams face the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A challenge, on Friday, September 26. Starmount will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 49-14 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).

The Buckin' Elks (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies enter the Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Ashe County was ripped by Alleghany (Sparta, NC), 49-14, in a league challenge.
