Ohio High School Football - Firestone overwhelmed by Mayfield

September 19, 2025: Mayfield, OH 44143

The Mayfield Wildcats walloped the visiting Firestone Falcons football team by a score of 50-8 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the South Rebels (Willoughby, OH) in a Western Reserve challenge, on Friday, September 26. Mayfield will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Maple Heights (Maple Heights, OH).

The Falcons (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Buchtel (Akron, OH). The Griffins enter the Akron City challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Buchtel was ripped by Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH), 48-6, in a non-league challenge.
