In Friday's league match, the visiting Forreston Cardinals football squad scored a good 36-21 triumph over the Morrison Mustangs.

The Cardinals (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Galena (Galena, IL). The Pirates come into the Northwest Upstate Illini match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Galena went down by Durand/Pecatonica (Durand, IL), 52-20, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Mustangs meet the Stockton Blackhawks (Stockton, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini match, on Friday, September 26. Morrison will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Blackhawks come into the test with a 4-0 record after their 49-0 league win over Fulton (Fulton, IL).
