New Mexico High School Football - Mesilla Valley Christian School tops Gateway Christian

The Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers felled the host Gateway Christian Warriors football team by a score of 28-8 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the SonBlazers face the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, September 26. Mesilla Valley Christian School will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Buffaloes go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 28-12 non-league win over Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM).

The Warriors (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM). The Chiefs come into the 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Mescalero Apache was defeated by Hagerman/Lake Arthur (Hagerman, NM), 16-12, in a league test.
