In their next game, the Hornets face the Hopkins Hilltoppers (New Haven, CT) in a Metropolitan Independent challenge, on Saturday, September 27. Hackley will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 42-7 league loss to Morristown-Beard (Morristown, NJ).

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their game against King (Stamford, CT). The Vikings enter the Metropolitan Independent game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, King fell by The Pingry School (Martinsville, NJ), 26-0, in a league game.
