The Holmdel Hornets ran past the visiting Middletown South Eagles football squad by a margin of 49-21 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Red Bank Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Holmdel will meet a Caseys squad coming off a 37-0 league win over Middletown North (Middletown, NJ). The Caseys record now stands at 4-0.
With the defeat, Middletown South falls to 0-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Marlboro (Marlboro, NJ) to face the Mustangs in a Shore - A North challenge on Friday, September 26. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Marlboro lost 38-7 in their recent league challenge against Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ)
