In Friday's non-league game, the New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX) football team overcame the visiting Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX), by a tally of 24-6.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Warren Warriors (Warren, TX) in a 3A-2 Region III District 12 game, on Friday, September 26. New Waverly will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record.
