New York High School Football - Pleasantville defeats John Jay

In Friday's league battle, the host Pleasantville Panthers football team scored a nice 56-40 win over the John Jay Wolves.

With the win, Pleasantville advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Hendrick Hudson (Montrose, NY) to play the Sailors in a Section 1 B/C/D battle on Friday, September 26. The Sailors go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Hendrick Hudson won 40-28 in their recent league battle against Rye Neck (Mamaroneck, NY)

The Wolves now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to New Utrecht for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. John Jay will play a Utes team coming off a 20-8 league loss to McKee Vo-Tech/Staten Island Tech (Staten Island, NY). The Utes record now stands at 0-2.
