In their next game, the Eagles play the Calhoun Academy Cougars (Calhoun City, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 26. Marvell Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 56-20 non-league win over Delta Academy (Marks, MS).

With the defeat, Kemper Academy drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Columbus Christian Academy (Steens, MS) to meet the rams in a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 26. The rams come into the test with a record of 5-0. Columbus Christian Academy won 66-38 in their recent non-league test against Delta Streets Academy (Greenwood, MS)
