Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting St. Francis Golden Knights (La Canada, CA), 9-3 in a non-league match.

The Cubs (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, CA). The Knights come into the Mission match with a 2-2 record.

Coming up next, the Golden Knights meet the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) in a Angelus match, on Friday, October 3. St. Francis will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
