Pennsylvania High School Football - Mars over Montour

September 19, 2025: McKees Rocks, PA 15136

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) and the host Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA), witnessed Mars's football squad knock off Montour by a tally of 29-21.

The Fightin' Planets (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA). The Titans enter the WPIAL AAAA Greater Allegheny contest with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, West Mifflin dropped by Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA), 35-14, in a non-league bout.

The Spartans now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Blackhawk for a WPIAL AAAA Parkway bout on Friday, September 26. Montour will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 49-6 non-league win over Yough (Herminie, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.
