Illinois High School Football - Sandburg tops Metea Valley

September 19, 2025: Aurora, IL 60502

The Sandburg Eagles football team scored 24 points and held the host Metea Valley Mustangs to 7 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) in a Southwest Valley - Blue challenge, on Friday, September 26. Sandburg will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 24-10 league win over Naperville North (Naperville, IL).

The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL). The Wildcats enter the Southwest Valley - Blue challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Neuqua Valley was defeated by Naperville Central (Naperville, IL), 24-17, in a league test.
