The Monterey Wildcats football squad scored 61 points and limited the host Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs to 24 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Marion County for a 2A Region 3 test on Friday, September 26. Monterey will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 18-6 non-league loss to Chattanooga Prep (Chattanooga, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 4-1.

The Bulldogs (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Sale Creek (Sale Creek, TN). The Panthers go into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Sale Creek bounced Grace Baptist Academy (Chattanooga, TN), 25-6, in a non-league challenge.
