North Carolina High School Football - Mountain Island Charter loses to North Stanly

September 19, 2025: New London, NC 28127

The Mountain Island Charter Raptors football squad (Mt. Holly, NC), was outscored 51-21 in Friday's non-league contest with the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC)

The Comets (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons enter the Yadkin Valley 2A/3A contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy thwarted Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 20-6, in a league battle.

The Raptors now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Albemarle for a non-league battle on Friday, September 26. Mountain Island Charter will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 20-6 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.
