In Friday's non-league match, the host Weatherford Eagles football squad scored a decisive 42-7 triumph over the Pauls Valley Panthers.
The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Clinton (Clinton, OK). The Red Tornadoes come into the 4A District 1 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Clinton was crushed by Chandler (Chandler, OK), 32-7, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Kingfisher for a 3A District 1 battle on Friday, September 26. Pauls Valley will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 45-12 non-league win over Bridge Creek (Blanchard, OK). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-1.
