Illinois High School Football - Thornton falls to Rich Township

September 19, 2025: Olympia Fields, IL 60471

The Rich Township Raptors ran past the visiting Thornton Wildcats football squad by a margin of 14-0 in Friday's league test.

The Raptors now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bloom for a Southland test on Saturday, September 27. Rich Township will meet a Blazing Trojan squad coming off a 21-20 league win over Thornridge (Dolton, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Thornton falls to 1-3 on the year. The Wildcats host Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to face the Falcons in a Southland challenge on Friday, September 26. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Thornridge lost 21-20 in their recent league challenge against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL)
