The Southwestern Randolph Cougars overwhelmed the visiting Wheatmore Warriors football squad by a margin of 40-6 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cougars now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host McMichael for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Southwestern Randolph will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 50-18 league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 2-2.

The Warriors (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomasville (Thomasville, NC). The Bulldogs enter the Central Carolina 3A challenge with a 1-3 record.
