Nebraska High School Football - Sutton loses to Thayer Central

September 19, 2025: Sutton, NE 68979

Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE), 20-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Thayer Central advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Titans host Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE) to play the Cougars in a D1 District 7 (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 26. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Sandy Creek won 48-8 in their recent league match against Tri County (DeWitt, NE)

Coming up next, the Mustangs meet the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats (Exeter, NE) in a D1 District 7 (8 Man) match, on Friday, September 26. Sutton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 64-18 league win over Southern (Wymore, NE).
