The West Delaware Hawks football team scored 27 points and restricted the visiting Wahlert Golden Eagles to 20 in the Hawks non-league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Hawks face the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets (Iowa Falls, IA) in a 3A District 2 challenge, on Friday, September 26. West Delaware will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Cadets go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 14-7 non-league win over Boone (Boone, IA).

The Golden Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA). The Stormin' Pointers go into the 3A District 3 challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Center Point-Urbana was edged by Independence (Independence, IA), 45-6, in a non-league challenge.
