In Friday's non-league contest, the Wood Memorial Trojans (Oakland City, IN) soccer team edged the host Evansville Day Eagles (Evansville, IN), by a tally of 3-2.
Next, the Trojans face the Tell City Marksmen (Tell City, IN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Wood Memorial will attempt to advance on its 7-3 season record. The Marksmen enter the contest with a 4-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to South Spencer (Rockport, IN).
The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Vincennes Rivet (Vincennes, IN). The Patriots go into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Vincennes Rivet was nudged by Vincennes Lincoln (Vincennes, IN), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
