In Friday's non-league outing, the host Rockford Christian Royal Lions soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Johnsburg Skyhawks.

The Royal Lions (1-6) will now prepare for their outing against Byron (Byron, IL). The Tigers go into the Big Northern outing with a 11-1 record. In their last outing, Byron got by Freeport (Freeport, IL), 1-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Skyhawks play the Woodstock Blue Streaks (Woodstock, IL) in a Kishwaukee River outing, on Monday, September 22. Johnsburg will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Blue Streaks go into the outing with a 6-5 record after their 8-0 league win over Sandwich (Sandwich, IL).
