In Friday's non-league test, the Byng Pirates (Ada, OK) softball squad nudged the host Latta Panthers (Ada, OK), by a score of 11-10.
With the triumph, Byng improves its record to 18-9 on the year. The Pirates travel to Plainview (Ardmore, OK) to face the Indians in a non-league contest on Monday, September 22. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 21-7. Plainview won 4-0 in their recent non-league contest against Byng (Ada, OK)
The Panthers now hold a 17-8 record. They take the field next when they host Howe for a 2A contest on Saturday, September 20. Latta will face a Lions squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Claremore (Claremore, OK). The Lions record now stands at 15-10.
