Cor Jesu Academy Chargers (St. Louis, MO) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Fort Zumwalt North Panthers (O'Fallon, MO), 17-9 in a non-league match.

The Chargers (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Webster Groves (Webster Groves, MO). The Statesmen enter the Class 4 District 2 game with a 0-1 record.

The Panthers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Timberland for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 23.
