Louisiana High School Volleyball - Academy of the Sacred Heart can't hold off Mt. Carmel

In Friday's non-league bout, the Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA) volleyball team held off the host Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals (New Orleans, LA), by a margin of 2-1.

The Cubs now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Teurlings Catholic for a non-league bout on Friday, September 19. Mt. Carmel will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Episcopal of Acadiana (Cade, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Academy of the Sacred Heart drops to 12-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league contest on Friday, September 19. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 6-4. Catholic - N.I. lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA)
