The Bear Grass Charter Bears volleyball squad (Williamston, NC), dropped 3-1 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC)

With the win, Perquimans improves its record to 15-2 on the season. The Pirates travel to Holmes (Edenton, NC) to encounter the Aces in a Albermarle (AAC) 2A battle on Saturday, September 20. The Aces enter the contest with a record of 15-0. Holmes won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Bertie (Windsor, NC)

Next, the Bears meet the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC) in a Atlantic 1A contest, on Wednesday, September 24. Bear Grass Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Hurricanes enter the contest with a 7-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Ocracoke (Ocracoke, NC).
